Excellent, as I expected

I was a bit surprised to see this submission so soon, I didn't know it was already so advanced when I read it.
I don't need to tell you I loved the story, I think that is clear by now, so I might as well comment on the other elements. At first I felt the narration a bit awkward (it was great, I just had a different idea when I read it), but he is obviously talented and with every page I liked it a bit more, in such way that at the end I was very comfortable with it. Maybe it was because the tone was a bit different from the cartoony looks of the character, but the final result was great, adding to the contrasts in the story. Also al other sound effects and voices were very well done and fitted the atomsphere perfectly.
Nacho's illustrations are obviously great, for the most of it, they surpassed my expectations of what the illustration for the next page would be.. and in some peculiar cases, it was EXACTLY how I had imagined it. I want to thank you also for recommending me to watch MR.Coo, I loved it, even fav'ed it.

Finally ,you can imagine my surprise when I read your comments and saw my username there. It was a very pleasent surprise, thank you for that. It is very important to me that someone who can write like this liked my story.

Hi,

I like your series alot, I just wanted to tell you about some trouble I had with it, maybe its just mi computer, but if not ,you should fix it. Episode 10 was all wrong, the camera didn't move right, maybe you used vcam and for some reason it didn't work?

Nice to see you here again

I got your message from FB, but I had already checked it out, gave you a very good grade too. Of your submissions, this is my favorite so far, I was just experimenting with the pixel tools too, interesting coincidence. You work fast man, it seemed like it took some work.

Hildebrandt responds:

Hey, thanks for your review! I could still have put shades on everything but, you know... semester started :D Take care and let me know when you do something new.

interesting .. but needs improvement

I liked the way you stated your point, and I like the choice of colors and style... I didn't like that much how it was animated. The fox-thing was ok, but most of the other stuff where tweens and the fire looked bad. You've got some of the most important things down.. just improve on the details and keep practicing.

it was ... great

very entertaining, varied.. and senseless, that made it just pure fun. You have a great talent for animating... I mean your timing for actions and lip sync is just so entertaining, that the actual drawing can be all choppy and crappy and the action still looks great. I like your characters and some of your humour... oh and the girl jumping... freakin hipnotizing. Great.. now I'll have to check your other stuff... and I have work to do, damn.

Jae responds:

I'm so glad you could appreciate it, man.

You know what is my favorite part of?

The handwriting you use, I love the handwriting you put on your text. I'm joking, but it is quite good.
In the first part I liked how it felt like a painting, and the colors and sound gave it a very nice wholesome look... I am not very fond of that kind of drawing though, I liked the second part's style much more, specially the atmosphere, the way you portrayed the city. I will give you some advice though... (that I should follow myself, but I still can't pull it off, if you do, do tell me). When tweening to change angle and zoom, be a bit more careful with the pace, and the smoothness of the tween, so it doesn't feel very mechanical .. I'm still bad at zooms and angles, ha, so there you go.
Again, I like the story you're trying to tell, I think I understood the point. I'll contact you later.. about *shhh....* the secret project... *shhhhh*

Hildebrandt responds:

OOOH, THE SECRET PROJECT, WOOOHOOO... yeah, i know what you mean- but I told ya, I suck at shifts of perspective ;)

Now I see

I liked your style a lot, and I really envy how you dedicated the feeling it provoked to someone, I've only managed to do things for myself and my own thoughts .I'm in desperate need for a muse or some inspiration. I hope people appreciate this, what will your next movie be about? I would like to form one day a collaborative effort from us non-funny flash artists to put something great together and get noticed. That would be great, i've never collaborated with anyone before.
